Short Version of Senzoo History
Senzoo-Lab-Project started in2005 when Founder Frank Brenken decided to create some Tunes with a little help from his friends......Inspired by funk, soul, hiphop and jazz music from the past and modern SLP developed on the one hand their unique Gangster Funk style and on the other hand some smooth relaxed urban sound located between Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani.
BIOGRAPHY of Frank Brenken / Songwriter
Born in the 70s in the north of Germany - where at this time Funk was still a “Rare Groove” to be heard - Frank became later in 1988 a member of “Mayers Big Band” The Big Band was playing Jazz Standards all around Schleswig–Holstein.Soon bored by that same old Jazz Sound from his Dad`s records and the same being played in the Big Band he founded a Punkrock Group with 2 other guys for which he wrote his first song in english language 1995. Through the years he experimented with Guitars and Drums and rode Skateboard - Influences on him were Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Cypress Hill, The Prodigy 1996 he got interested in Reaggae Music and his ability to play Alto-Saxophone came back to surface…2003 in Hamburg he was composing Horn Arrangements and Grooves to jam on. Two of his Jam-Buddys showed him basic steps with Sequencer Software and so he had a powerful tool to record his musical ideas. In 2004 the sound of “New Funk” reaches Frank and he decides to create some NF-tunes with a little help from his friends. A Studio-Project called Senzoo-Lab-Project was founded by him in 2005. Basically one Girl (Anna Hausner) trusts his sound and sings to his compositions - Result: “You`ve got to” reaches Final of “Song of the Year 2008” Competition, other Songs from the Project were used as background for Action Sports Videos and a Cinema-Soundtrack. Actually the Song “Ring the Alarm” (Finals ISC 2008) shows Franks love for weaving powerful themes into dynamic groove structures...2009 Right now Frank is working on a Dance Album with different Artists - for further information on this Dance Album go to
